The Pentre Bed & Breakfast and Self Catering
Rural bliss, breathtaking views and wonderful home-cooked meals
Helen and Stephen Gilbert invite you to stay at their 16th century farmhouse, sympathetically restored over recent years.
The accommodation is situated in a tranquil environment nestling among unspoilt countryside with outstanding views of the border with Wales, just a short distance from the Offa's Dyke long distance footpath.
There is peace, beautiful scenery and miles of paths & bridleways to explore. In fact Helen has compiled a series of detailed walks that start right from our own doorstep and are freely available for guests to use.
We offer bed and breakafst in our spacious en-suite rooms complete with wonderful Aga cooked breakfasts. We also offer self catering at our property Oak in Pentre Barn.
In addition to our AA Highly Commended 4 Star rating we have now been given the AA Breakfast & Dinner awards.
We are pleased to announce that we have been featured in the Michelin Guide since 2009.
Featured in The Times!
In August 2013 Christopher Someville of The Times stayed at The Pentre whilst writing his Old Racecourse walk article and described us a "first-class B&B".
The Pentre is a non smoking establishment.
